Who We Are
This privacy policy explains how On Point Samples handles your personal information when you visit our website, buy from us, use your library or sign up for our emails. On Point Samples is run by:

If you live in the EU, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies to how we handle your data.
What We Collect
- Contact and account details: your name, email address and, when you buy, your billing address.
- Order details: what you bought, when, the amount and how you paid. Payments are handled by our payment providers, so we never see your full card details.
- Downloads: when files in your order are downloaded and from which IP address.
- Courses: which courses you have access to and your progress in them.
- Messages: what you send us through our contact page, a refund request or email.
- Email sign-ups: your email address (and first name, when you give it) when you sign up for freebies or our newsletter.
- Reviews: your name and review when you review a product.
- Library memory: what your library remembers for you, like when you downloaded something, which tips you closed and your display settings (light or dark, grid or list).
- Profile photo: only if you add one yourself in your library.
- Device and usage information: your IP address, browser, device and the pages you visit, collected through cookies and similar technologies.
Why We Use It
- To deliver your order: processing your payment, giving you your downloads and courses, showing your library and sending order emails.
- To help you: answering your messages and handling refund requests.
- To keep things fair and safe: managing download and IP limits, and preventing fraud and misuse.
- To meet legal obligations: for example keeping invoices and order records for tax purposes.
- To improve our store: understanding how visitors use our website.
- To send you emails you asked for: freebies, new packs and tutorials. You can unsubscribe at any time with the link in every email.
- Ads: measuring and improving our ads, where you've allowed this through our cookie settings.
We use your information because it's needed to fulfil your order (contract), because the law requires it, because we have a legitimate interest in running a safe and working store, or because you gave your consent (for example for marketing emails, certain cookies and your profile photo). You can withdraw your consent at any time. Withdrawing it doesn't affect what we did with your data before.
Downloads, Your Library and Freebies
- Downloads. Our download provider records when files in your order are downloaded and from which IP address. We use this to deliver your files, to manage download and IP limits, to prevent misuse and to handle refund requests.
- Your library. When you log in to your library (onpointsamples.com/pages/library), we show your orders, downloads and courses using your Shopify customer account. You log in with a one-time code sent to your email address.
- Saved in your browser. Your browser keeps a copy of your library and a few preferences (like grid or list view) so the page loads faster next time. This stays on your own device, and you can clear it at any time in your browser settings.
- Saved on your account. So your library looks the same on every device, we save your library memory (download dates, closed tips and display settings) on your Shopify customer account. We need this to give you the library you use (contract). You can clear it at any time in your library under Your account, Your data.
- Profile photo. Adding a photo is up to you. Your device shrinks it to a small square picture before it's saved on your customer account. Only you see it in your library, and our team can see it in our store admin. We use it only to show it to you in your library, based on your consent. Remove it at any time on your account page in your library; that withdraws your consent and deletes the photo from your account.
- Your data, from your library. In your library under Your account, Your data, you can download a copy of your data straight away, clear what your library remembers, or ask us to delete your account and data.
- Freebie sign-ups. When you sign up for our free sounds (onpointsamples.com/pages/freebies), we store your email address (and first name, when you give it) with our email provider Klaviyo. To catch typos, our sign-up form checks whether your email domain can receive email, using a public DNS lookup that only includes the part after the @.
Who We Share It With
We only share your information with companies that help us run our store, and only what they need to do their job:
- Shopify: runs our store, checkout and customer accounts.
- Payment providers: process your payment (for example Shopify Payments, PayPal, iDEAL, Klarna and the other methods shown at checkout). We never see your full card details.
- Our download provider: delivers the downloads in your library and records download activity.
- Our course platform: hosts the online courses you watch from your library.
- Klaviyo: sends our emails, such as freebie and newsletter emails.
- Judge.me: collects and shows product reviews.
- Behold: shows our latest Instagram posts in your library.
- YouTube (Google): plays our tutorial videos in your library, in privacy-enhanced mode.
- Google (Analytics and Ads): helps us understand how visitors use our website and measures our ads.
- Meta (Facebook and Instagram): measures and improves our ads.
- Consentmo: handles cookie choices and privacy requests.
- Avada and PageFly: help us with search optimisation and building our pages.
We may also share information when the law requires it, for example with tax authorities. We never sell your personal information.
Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep our store working (like your cart and login), to remember your preferences and, where you've allowed it, for analytics and ads. You can change your cookie choices through our cookie banner and in your browser settings.
International Transfers
Some of the companies we work with are based outside your country, including in the United States. When your data is transferred outside the EU, it's protected by safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
How Long We Keep It
- Orders and invoices: as long as the law requires.
- Your account and library: for as long as you have an account with us.
- Library memory and profile photo: until you clear or remove them, or until your account is deleted.
- Messages and refund requests: as long as needed to help you, and after that as long as needed for our records.
- Email sign-ups: until you unsubscribe.
Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you have the right to:
- see the personal information we have about you;
- have it corrected or deleted;
- object to or limit how we use it;
- get a copy of it to take elsewhere;
- withdraw your consent at any time.
To use these rights, go to Your account, Your data in your library (onpointsamples.com/pages/library), go to onpointsamples.com/pages/gdpr or email us at shop@onpointsamples.com. We confirm requests by email so we know it's really you, and we answer within one month.
If you ask us to delete your data, we delete your account and the personal data that goes with it. Your library then closes, so you can no longer download your files again or watch your courses through it. We keep your order records as long as the law requires, and nothing else. Need help with something you bought later? Message us with your order number and we'll help.
If you're not happy with how we handle your data, you can also file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
Children
Our store isn't meant for children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their personal information.
Changes and Contact
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The latest version is always on this page. Questions? Email us at shop@onpointsamples.com or use our contact page (onpointsamples.com/pages/inquiries).
