Fills and crashes built from the kick
I create distorted kick effect fills from my original kick that change in frequency. I also put reverb on the crunch and automate the rate of a volume LFO.
Make a kickroll using the crunch part. And finally, make the crash effects follow the exact rhythm of your kick.

Glitches and melodic fills in the empty spaces
Make use of creative fill effects like glitches to fill empty spaces. Get creative with melodic fills too, and use a reverse reverb effect for more drive.
