My notes from this Short
A 909 kick into EQ boosts and a hard clipper
I start by changing oscillator A to a sample and loading a 909 kick drum. In the effects I add a distortion on hard clipper with the drive all the way open.
In front of it I add an EQ with a bell curve to boost the bass, with the area opened a bit, and boost the mids with a very broad area too. Then I drive the volume of the EQ so we get more hard clipping.
Asymmetrical stages between the clippers
After that I add an asymmetrical distortion. This is really important for the crunch. Then an EQ with a bell curve boost to shape the tone of the kick, and another hard clipper all the way open.
Next, another bell curve to boost the bass a little. Make sure you're not putting it right on the bass but a bit behind. Then another asymmetrical distortion, not all the way open, an EQ and a final hard clipper all the way open.

Final EQ and LFO 1 on the peaks
On the final EQ I add a bell curve around the same position as the first one to shape the final tone, and boost the bass with another bell curve to get the crunch back. Playing around with the bell curves, mainly on the bass, really influences the kick.
Then I use LFO 1 to boost the peaks for a punchier sound. This is all up to preference. Go back into your peaks, bass boosts and drives and see how they change your kick. You can dial in a lot of different tones.
