How to Enhance the Punch of a Rawstyle Kick

If you have your final rawstyle kick but feel like something is missing in the punch, try adding these three things.

My notes from this Short

01

A short clicky kick on top

First I grab any clicky kick, shorten the length and add it on top of my kick. Then I keep playing around with the pogo and the time multiplicator on E2 speech, or a mode I like, until it fits my punch better.

02

A pitched copy of the final kick

Second, I take my final kick, duplicate it and shorten the length. I remove the first part of the punch so there's no real click, put it on E2 speech and play with the pitch. I layer that with my final kick and find a blend that enhances the punch.

03

A club kick for bass in the punch

Third, find any punchy or club kick, make it as long as your punch, remove the click and focus on the bassy part. Layer this on top. This helps add bass to your punch, which a lot of people forget about.
