My notes from this Short
A mono saw with an envelope on the cutoff
I start with a normal oscillator on a saw wave, pitch it up one octave and put it on mono and legato with some portamento timing. Then I open filter one, take envelope two down a bit and add that to the cutoff, unipolar instead of bipolar.
Shape the mix modulation in the matrix
To go from a pluck to a lead, I assign a macro to the cutoff and open it up. I also add this macro to the mix of the filter and take that down.
Then I go to the matrix and shape that modulation, so it does nothing except at the end. Now the mix doesn't get affected by the macro until we're at the last part, and then it blends perfectly.
