How to Make a Rawstyle Lead in Serum

This is how I make a simple yet very powerful rawstyle lead in Serum.

My notes from this Short

01

Zero Square at 100% in pre mode

I start with a saw wave, go into the distortion and add Zero Square at 100%. I put it on pre mode and add some resonance.

02

A slow LFO on the distortion frequency

Take LFO 1, disable the BPM, make it a slow hertz rate and add it to the frequency range.

Select the range where it starts resonating, the mid range, add some resonance and change the frequency range to your liking.

Serum LFO 1 for a rawstyle lead: a triangle shape with BPM off and a slow 1.2 Hz rate
LFO 1 with BPM off and a slow 1.2 Hz rate.
03

Oscillator B and a band pass filter

You can add oscillator B an octave up with a little bit less volume and a unison of two to widen it up.

In the filter I select a band pass, add LFO 1 to the cutoff and add some resonance.
