My notes from this Short
A low saw and a quiet detuned saw
I start in 3x Osc and select two saw waves. One goes to the lowest possible octave, minus 24, and the other is two octaves higher. You can detune the other one, but take down its level a lot.

The sub goes down, up and down again
In the mixer I add a wave shaper for maximum distortion, with an EQ in front to boost the bass and the mids. Then another wave shaper all the way open, with an EQ in front.
With this EQ, automate the low shelf on the sub. Make the bass go down, up and down again.
A peak on the fundamental during the punch
Add a peak and boost the fundamental frequency. Then one more peak in front of the wave shaper on roughly the same frequency, and automate its level so it boosts during the punch. Now you can increase or decrease the bass to change your kick.
Finally I add an EQ and a soft clipper to clean up the kick. You can go back in 3x Osc and increase the volume of the detuned overtone saw, change the detune, change the frequency of the peak, or boost different frequencies with narrow peaks.
