Quick tip

How to Make Creative Kickrolls With dBlue Glitch

Get really creative with your kickrolls. Make a basic pattern with some kicks pitching up and down, then add dBlue Glitch.

My notes from this Short

01

Empty the Glitch sequencer first

I make a basic pattern with some kicks pitching up and down and add dBlue Glitch. At first it will sound random and totally all over the place.

So I select this black button and make sure that everything is empty.

02

Turn effects on only where you want them

Then you want to visually represent where you want to put some effects. To make this easier to understand, I created an automation clip so you can see where I want effects enabled. If I want this half beat, I go on an effect, select that part, take the black button and remove it.

Once you've done that for every part where you want a kick effect, play around with the settings underneath as well. Then you get a much more creative kickroll.

dBlue Glitch for a hardstyle kickroll: the effect sequencer is empty except for effects 9, 5, 2 and 1 placed on the steps where they should play, with the Modulator, Retrigger, Shuffler and Reverser settings underneath
Effects only on the steps where I want them, the rest stays empty.
