How to Make Midintro Punches in Serum

Check out this trick to make midintro punches, starting from a sine wave.

My notes from this Short

01

A sine wave an octave down

I start with a sine wave and put it down an octave. Envelope 2 and envelope 3 both go to the coarse pitch.

Serum oscillator A on the Analog_BD_Sin sine wave one octave down, with envelope 2 and envelope 3 routed to the coarse pitch, for a hardstyle midintro punch

02

Render, shorten and move the Pogo

I render out the sound and place it in the playlist, then normalize it and make it shorter. Then I double click and move the Pogo.

You could also increase the range of these envelopes on the coarse pitch and move it in again. Now you get even more lasery punches.
